We understand the challenges that independent producers face when trying to access professional distribution channels, and we are committed to building a more open, accessible, and filmmaker-focused pathway into the global streaming landscape.
At 4th Ground, we help filmmakers connect their films with the right audiences and expand their global reach. As part of our distribution and marketing strategy, we operate our own TVOD platform where filmmakers can make their films available to audiences while we continue working toward wider opportunities with major digital platforms. This allows filmmakers to start earning during the distribution process, while also helping us understand how audiences respond to the film through rentals, purchases, and viewer interest. Our goal is simple: to support filmmakers, build audience demand, and create stronger paths for films to reach the platforms and viewers they deserve.
We are based in Johannesburg, South Africa. To ensure closer collaboration with filmmakers and strengthen our global reach, we also have an acquisitions team based in the United States and United Kingdom. This allows us to stay closely connected to key industry territories, engage directly with international partners, and provide filmmakers with more responsive, hands-on support throughout the distribution process.
